Valentine's day or the Feast of Saint Valentine is celebrated annually on February 14. It originated as a Roman Catholic feast day honoring one or two early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine and, through later folk traditions, has become a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions of the world.
Valentine's day is a day set aside for couples and people in relationships, to show love to their partners in the form of gifts. Regardless of the love that is to be shown, valentines day can also put outstanding pressure on relationships. The thought of not receiving gifts that are not expensive or meaningful enough overpowers the true essence of a relationship. Valentine's day materializes and demeans the real meaning of love. It does not take money and just one day to show someone you love them.
Over the years, it has become a norm or a responsibility for men in relationships or marriages to get their partners a gift on valentines day Love should always be reciprocated and not one-sided. Men deserve valentines day gifts too. These were some of the comments made by some men in an interview.
